Wanda Nieves, Puerto Rican born in New York and resident of San Juan for more than twenty years, Wanda Nieves obtained her degree in Drawing and Graphics in the School of Plastic Arts of San Juan.
Wanda Nieves, for the last decade has dedicated her works to the subject of natural forms and the creations of mother nature. Her works shows great sensitivity and a genuine preoccupation for the preservation of our ecological system. Her works capture deep realism, and carefully studied the laws of perspective and theory of the light. This challenge is what the artist relates to, since they govern themselves by their own laws, they have its own language According to the artist: “... [mangle] is a clear example of the harmonious coexistence of the chaos and the order. Intrinsically, they form a dance of visual perfection and synchronization with the Mother Nature”.
