Steven has meticulously worked on this present collection since retiring in 2001. He uses a strictly limited palate and a unique burnishing technique to blend oils into intriguing and surprising executions. The theme or tread that runs through all his work is the ethereal concept of the circle of life... : .from dust to dust. This concept he has interpreted into the visual representation of "Pushing up daisies"

All of Steven's work is oil on canvas and can be described as interpreted fantasies. He presently is working on his next collection in his studios here and in the states.

On a personal level Steven has been married to Ligia Wachtel his partner in life and in work for the last 35 years. They have one son and a daughter. Steven and Ligia live in Dorado, Puerto Rico and Lake Tahoe Nevada.
