Self-taught painter, graphic and poster artist. Manuel Hernandez Acevedo moved to San Juan in the 40's and began to work for the Commission of Parks and Public Recreation. Under the guidance of Irene Delano, in the Division of Public Education, he was taught serigraphy. In the decade of 50's he discovered his talent as a painter and develops his skills.
